Call for submissions: The Intersect Media

The Stories We Tell is a digital anthology series published via The Intersect as a part of Project Exchange's cross-cultural initiatives. We wish to collect and document the experience of growing up as second generation immigrants.

“What is it that makes us who we are? What makes our generation unique? This project is dedicated to us — us who have struggled with our identity. This is about us and the struggles we go through to find ourselves. These are our stories to tell.”  - Verna Li, Project Head

Guidelines:

  • Writers are encouraged to write from any number of perspectives: social, economic, historical, sociological, folkloric, cultural or multicultural; and share their familial or community histories, stories, customs, or personal experiences.

  • Poems can be of any length. Submissions (for fiction/non-fiction) must be at least 600 words long but no more than 5,000 words. Please only send one submission at a time and in one genre. Do not mix genres in your submission. We accept simultaneous submissions but no previously published work. Notify us immediately if your submission is accepted elsewhere. Please wait a month before querying about the status of your submission. Please submit through this link. Or EMAIL YOUR SUBMISSIONS to [email protected]
