Trading Roots Workshops

The Grand Union Orchestra (GUO) are a musical organisation that bring together singers and instrumentalists from all over the world to create spectacular live shows. On 23rd, 25th and 27th of October, we will be running free Trading Roots workshops at Spotlight (Poplar) and Poplar Union, which are for 12-18 year olds who love music. To celebrate the musical roots that link Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, these instrumental workshops are the chance to learn, explore and develop musical techniques from these cultures. The workshops will culminate in a performance, joining Grand Union musicians, on the 27th October at Poplar Union.
