Join our Careers in Transport project at London Transport Museum.
What will I do on the project?
• Research and evaluate what resources are available to help job seekers match their skills to careers
• Use this research to develop and design a creative activity or resource and deliver it at our Skills Late careers fair
• Work with other young people to match their valuable skills to careers and opportunities in transport
What is Skills Late?
A hands-on and interactive evening event giving you a kick start towards some of the UK’s most in demand jobs, featuring transport and infrastructure employers with live and upcoming vacancies, all looking for London’s future talent.
What can I gain from participating?
• Understanding of different careers in transport and infrastructure and the routes to access these careers
• How to come up with activities that are creative and engaging
• Build your network and work with transport and infrastructure employers
• Learn a range of communication, team work, presentation, reflection and evaluation skills that will support your own career journey
• CV workshop and signposting towards work Continued support and guidance into employment and further opportunities
• An accredited Bronze Arts Award qualification
• Travel reimbursed (Zones 1-6) and lunch provided
What are the dates?
Induction day: 25 September 2018, 10:30-16:30
1 – 5 October 2018, 16:00-17:00
14 November 2018, 16:00-19:00
15 November 2018, 15:00-21:00
16 November 2018, 13:00-17:30
