OCM Arts Award Supporter Offer

Oxford Contemporary Music has been delivering Arts Award projects for the last few years and we are pleased to be able to extend our delivery to include an Arts Award supporter offer to young people, schools and youth groups in Oxfordshire wishing to access the Arts Award. We are offering support at all levels of Arts Award, covering certain parts that make up that particular award.

Below is a summery of what our supporter offer includes:

Arts Award Discover

  • Part A, Find Out. Experience artists and their work.

We can arrange for artists to give inspirational talks about their work, and arrange taster workshops for groups of participants.

Arts Award Explore

  • Part A, Inspire. Take part in a range of arts activities and record what inspires you.

We can invite groups of young people to take part in a range of music, experimental sound and sonic art workshops.

Our community projects welcome the participation from individual young people and those from other youth projects.

  • Part B, Explore. Experience the work of artists and arts organisations.

We can give talks about our arts organisation and we can arrange for some artists to give talks about themselves and their work to groups of young people.

  • Part C, Create. Make art work to show your art skills and creativity.

Linking to the inspire section of this award we can build into our workshops the opportunity for young people to create artifacts that fulfill the criteria for this section.

We can often arrange for young people to find out about the artists at our events and their career paths.
