Reports to: Cultural and Heritage Producer
Salary: Part time 3 days a week (21 hours per week) = £13,049
Based on £21749 a year FTE (pro rata)
Oxford House is an community arts centre based which has been based in Bethnal Green since 1884. They are recruiting a Heritage Participation Trainee role to join our team. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity to develop skills in both planning and delivery of heritage and arts education activities. This is a practical role and will require the Trainee to work closely with internal teams and community groups ranging from schools, local artists, and community groups. As part of this 12-month, part-time placement, the Trainee will receive specialised training to support their future development . Alongside developing research, administration and crucial arts and heritage skills, they will learn in a cultural setting firmly rooted within the East End of London.
They are looking for a candidate with the enthusiasm and interest in practical learning and project delivery. The role needs the flexibility, eagerness, curiosity and positive approach needed to work in a community arts and heritage setting. This role will be supported by heritage and arts professionals who will support the Trainee developing the building blocks and skills required for a future career within the sector.
