Producing Place Call Out

Call out for Artists and Producers!

Producing Place Call Out

Fee: £75 for 1 hour interview

Deadline for applications: Mon 10th Oct 2022 (9am)

Interview dates: Mon 17th - Fri 28th Oct 2022

Monkfish Productions are seeking artists and producers with experience of working in physical space and/or place contexts, to take part in interviews about their Producing Place framework.

Producing Place is Monkfish’s current approach to exploring how they work with artists and communities to make work in physical environments and with the ideas of place and space.

They’d like to invite artists and producers (working independently or for an organisation) to discuss and share their views on the framework and how it might fit with and or/support their practice. (You will be sent the framework and questions in advance of the interview).

To apply, artists and producers are invited to email us with:

-        A short paragraph (max 500 words) about your creative work, which includes at least one good example of working in a physical place and/or space context

-        Attachments or links to your work (e.g. images, written extracts, audio/video, testimonials etc.).

They expect interviewees to be able to talk about how their experience of working in a physical place context has shaped their practice, and to be able to bring some insights from that experience to help us reflect on the framework.

Interviews will take place online, and interviewees can live anywhere in the UK. Interview responses will be captured and used in a creative report/resource about the Producing Place framework, which will be shared with networks and via our online platforms. Your answers can be used anonymously if preferred.

Up to 10 interview slots available - if we receive more than 10 applications we’ll select based on a spread of varied art forms & approaches, artists and producers/orgs.
