BROADWAY’S BFI FILM ACADEMY SHORT COURSE PROGRAMME

APPLICATIONS OPEN TO BROADWAY’S BFI FILM ACADEMY SHORT COURSE PROGRAMME - A NEW CREATIVE CAREER FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 16-19!

BROADWAY’S BFI FILM ACADEMY SHORT COURSE PROGRAMME

Broadway is looking for 20 committed and passionate young people aged 16-19 from any and all backgrounds, to be part of their future film industry.

You don’t need any experience to apply, just lots of enthusiasm and they also offer bursaries to ensure successful applicants can attend the course.

Our short course offers an inclusive and supportive experience through a thirteen-week process of practical and theoretical masterclasses delivered by respected film industry professionals. Students will receive first-hand accounts of, not only of what their jobs involve, but the journeys they took to get there.

Once you have completed the course, you will become part of the ever-growing BFI Film Academy Alumni network, with access to events such as BAFTA career talks, training masterclasses, paid traineeship placements at Pinewood Studios and jobs and exclusive residential programmes such as the respected Craft Skills course at the NFTS in Beaconsfield.

They have a high alumni progression record and some of our most significant successful alumni stories include paid traineeships on major feature film productions, including: Solo: A Star Wars Story, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Bond: No Time To Die and Cruella.

Academy alumni have also worked on local and national TV productions such as ITV’s Without Sin, BBC’s The Gallows Pole and Disney+ ’s Willow.

All details of the course can be found here at BFI Film Academy short course programme
