Glyndebourne Productions Ltd are looking for a new Development Assistant Intern! 

Development Assistant Internship

They are currently recruiting for a Development Assistant to join their Development department for a six month Internship. You will work on a varied programme of stewardship, cultivation and fundraising events.

Key Responsibilities

To assist in the busy Glyndebourne Development department, mostly the Events Officer,  during the Glyndebourne Festival including:

  • Onsite Development entertaining, sponsor events, off site events
  • Door duty (meet & greet, name taking)
  • VIP’s dining requirements
  • Internal communication re daily events
  • Database updates following all events
  • Wordfly assistance
  • Other development requirements including prospecting and assisting the Development Director if necessary

Learning opportunities:

  • Event set up
    Database training
  • Fundraising basic skills both individual and corporate
  • Mixing with donors of all levels

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • A ‘can do’ attitude
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and keen to learn
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Attention to detail and accurate data inputting
  • Good level working knowledge MS Word, including mail merge and Excel
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to analyse numerical data
  • Ability to work with absolute confidentiality

Desirable

  • Some experience or training in events preferable but not essential
