For Arts Award Week (2-10th July 2016) we spoke to choreographer Akram Khan about the journey he's taken, and his work on this year's Big Dance.

Our Creative Future: Akram Khan

Akram Khan, MBE is a dance choreographer and the founder of Akram Khan Company, which is now in its 15th year and works with Indian kathak form and contemporary dance. Last weekend Khan choreographed London's annual Big Dance, working with hundreds of participants in Trafalgar Square, ranging from 14 to 86 years old.

Akram was one of the first Arts Award champions, almost ten years ago.
