Interview with Imogen, TrinityTalent Class of 2018

Hi Imogen! You were one of the talented young people featured in the TrinityTalent Class of 2018. What did being nominated mean to you?

When I was nominated I felt really honored to be displayed among so many incredibly talented young musicians and to be recognised as worthy to be up there with them!!

How did being nominated influence your professional development?

It has influenced my artistic practice in the way that I am more confident in my ability and feel that if TrinityTalent believes in me then I should believe in my self too.

What have you been up to since being featured in the TrinityTalent Class of 2018?

Since I was nominated, I have set up my own all-girls Jazz quartet which I love performing with, we are hoping to do some busking for charity’s soon as well. I have been working towards my Grade 8 violin exam and the preparation for that is going well. I have played in a few Suzuki piano concerts and have auditioned to play at the Royal Albert Hall on the piano and am yet to find out the result of that!!

What would you say to those looking to nominate or be nominated for the TrinityTalent Class of 2019?

I would say to those being nominated for Trinity Talent 2019, don’t overlook how much of an honor it is to be nominated and keep practising as much as possible, practice is the key to success, take every opportunity to perform and you will just get better and better at it!

Thanks, Imogen! Good luck with everything!
