What levels of Arts Award did you do?

I completed the Silver award. 

What art forms did you take part in?

I explored the acting and performing side of the arts.

What events did you go to?

I watched Bodyguard the Musical, Les Miserable the Musical, and School of Rock the Musical. All the performances were amazing and I would definitely recommend them!

How did you share skills or lead projects?

I participated in a drama club at school and directed a piece of horror for my school's Halloween performance.

What kind of portfolio did you create? 

I created a folder full of my evidence and work I produced over the year.

What was most valuable to you personally?

I found the new experiences that came with skill learning to be the most valuable, as I learned how to direct people around me and to increase my teamwork and leadership skills, which will be valuable in the future.

What did you find inspiring?

I found the events that I watched the most inspiring, as it showed me the range of opportunities that are available in the creative arts world and how I can apply that to my own work.

What was challenging?

The thing I found most challenging was putting together my folder and finding the right way to fully showcase all the work I had accomplished.

What are you going to do next – and has Arts Award helped you?

I am planning to do my Gold Arts Award this year and doing Silver has helped me as I know what to expect and how much work is required and what I must do to achieve this.

How did you get involved with Arts Award?

I found out through my school's drama department and decided to give it a go!

Who gave you the most help and inspiration?

My GCSE Drama teacher gave me the most help throughout the experience.
