As we approach Arts Award Week, the theme of which is Our Creative Future, our Youth Network share their creative pasts, and the paths they've taken to get to their current positions; as young, successful, creative explorers.

Dave Thomas is a director at Unit Twenty Three, but for many years he's been performing and establishing himself as an independent blues musician around the world. As an aspiring musician myself, as well as a nosey reporter, I decided to ask him some questions about his creative journey.

Neil Frost can be found at Brighton Fringe this May, performing his one man mine show, The Story of the Nervous Man. 'I think a performer should train in a variety of disciplines,' the comedian, clown and character actor says, 'then create their own practice using the methods that work for them.'

There are so many jobs in the arts and with that a number of different pathways to get into an arts career. The 4 main things that opens doors into arts careers are passion, creativity, training and hard work.
