Meet Astræa: the female producer killing it in a male-dominated field

Astræa, one of the industry’s go-to producers, has worked with everyone from Jack Savoretti to Ward Thomas. Making her way to the top of an industry which is overwhelmingly male-dominated field is no mean feat, and Astræa has more than staked her own territory.  Her work has been used to soundtrack some of the biggest moments on television, and her hauntingly beautiful cover of ‘You’re Not Alone’ was used in the Lloyd’s Bank advert.

‘Tonight I Run’ marks a turning point.

A song which specifically discusses the challenges which Astræa faced in fighting her way to become a leader in her field, ‘Tonight I Run’ is the anthem for the underdog. It’s a deeply personal track which sees Astræa face her own demons, as well as the many hurdles which were placed in her way on the way to the top - wrapped up in gorgeously glacial production. Astræa’s know-how makes for a truly remarkable release which melds piano, synth, vocals and more to create a song which is openly an exploration and manifestation of who Astræa is as a person.
