Following on from the release of the brilliantly bright and poppy audio for her first single of the new year, Hilary Roberts is now back with an effervescent video to accompany this most lively of pop songs.
The song, released in perfect time for Valentine’s Day just gone, is an ode to healthy relationships. Gone are the bad boys of yesteryear; say hello to the Good Men - the only men you should be allowing into your life. It’s a refreshing take on the pop song doing away with pining after bad boys who look hot and ride motorbikes, but who you could never bring home to meet your mum.
It’s 2020, which means that this song provides exactly the sort of energy we are after this year.
A song this bold and brilliant needs a music video to live up to it. No easy feat, considering this song contains a choir, brass section, a killer hook and more!
But this video is truly something special. We see Roberts and co. organise a competition to find the Best Man, through challenges such as tying kids’ shoelaces, dance solos, explaining maths homework and more, before ultimately awarding everyone the prize. It’s a wickedly fun video which really shows off Hilary’s sense of humour, as well as being a perfect complement to the pop song of the year (so far!)
