Giovanna Drops Impassioned Music Video ‘Young Heart Player’

Making her triumphant return to music after 8 years out of the scene, Alt-Pop artist Giovanna had dropped the stunning cinematic masterpiece to accompany her latest single ‘Young Heart Player’.

The music video opens, facing the ceiling of an abandoned decaying building before the shot pans downwards to depict a dancer laying barely breathing on the settings floor. Cutting to a close-up shot, the sense that the dancer is alive and well is made obvious subtly injecting a sense of life fullness into the video. Then with a sudden burst of movement, the choreography kicks in as a second dancer is added into the mix with the music video instantly gaining almighty momentum, with the pair putting on a perplexing dance display with the track only adding to the emotionally raw scenes as showcased throughout ‘Young Heart Player’.

The music video is the kind of heart-rendering piece of art that perfectly encapsulates the candid emotions of the song, somewhat reminiscent of Giovanna’s cinematic credentials derived from previous film scoring work including writing for award-winning film ‘RISK’ which won Best Film at The Portobello Film Festival.

Climaxing in a closing sequence that sees the female counterparts passion burn through and overpower her male dancer, ‘Young Heart Player’ as an entire project is certainly an eclectic blend of Giovanna’s powerhouse vocals and the videos contemporary dance fuelled video.
