Garrett Millerick: Smile

Someone give this man a bloody TV show.

Garrett Millerick: Smile

Garrett Millerick certainly had some things to get off his chest, and instead of turning to twitter like a normal person he chose to let rip for an hour of painstakingly truthful comedy in the basement of The Tron.

Smile was supposed to be a show about positivity in a world that is filled with nothing but doom and gloom around every corner. I don’t think that quite worked out but what came from the wreckage was even better than I could’ve imagined.

Smile is essentially an hour long rant, with infectious comedy and irrefutable arguments. Garrett pulls no punches and he’s gunning for everyone. Gym rats, eco warriors, highly offensive shows from his childhood (Men Behaving Badly) that have no place in this #metoo era (take note Netflix) and Emma “fucking” Thompson – yeah, he’s really not happy with that last one.

Under no circumstances will Garrett take eco advice from a woman who uses more plastic than anyone. What a chauvinistic thing to say right? Not really ladies, think about it. Every tube of foundation, concealer, setting spray and L’Oréal shampoo; we play more of a part in the continued use of plastic then we’d care to admit. That is neither here nor there however, especially because Garrett is failing to take into consideration that men put just as much crap on their faces these days as us woman do. So, either way, everything wrong in the world, still comes down to men.

If Garrett had his way, he would shut the door on most of the world’s problems, except Deliveroo’s rising delivery prices, and stay home watching Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, US edition of course. But, not even the things Garrett loves were safe from his hour of comedic tyranny, as he made some less than flattering comments about the premise of the show. He happened to point out that, despite its popularity, Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares is just an angry, white, millionaire ruining the lives of the soon to be bankrupt on national television – and on demand.

How could we have been so blind? Have no fear folks because Garrett Millerick is around all month, 17:00 @ The Tron, to ruin more of what you love. All joking aside, if that’s even possible, Garrett Millerick is the peoples comedian. He says what he wants, does what he wants and we’re all so here for it. Give this man a bloody TV show.
