Paris De Nuit

A circus with a lustful appeal to all tastes; packed with dance and music with a 1930's Parisian theme.

Paris De Nuit

This hour is packed with at least 10 acts rolled in to it. A great variety of aerial acrobatics that simply stun and amaze, in addition to tight rope, juggling, dance routines, and some good singing. All of this is underscored by a marvellous live band - including my favourite addition to the show which was very effective - the accordion.

The choreography was incredible. The timing, the preciseness, the sheer will of the performers shine through. There is some stunning group performances which beautifully complement the individual and duo/trio performances. The shapes, the knots, the death-defying-moves all delivered from the trapeze and other hanging items are designed to wow you - I heard audience members exclaim such delight more than once.

There is a great dance which convincingly conveys a story of fighting for love, there is a song performed like an overture to some aerial work about "What makes a man?" and the moves and words are just so brilliantly put together. Of course the lighting on all this helps, and clearly there has been a lot of thought put in to the production of this show.

Another highlight was a wonderful bit of comedy acrobatics about the struggles of married life. Delivered with simple props, facial expressions and a delightful slapstick approach. Conveying a story in the air like this takes a lot of skill, rehearsal, and imagination to be so convincing.

I highly recommend making this one of your go to shows, but be warned, your hands will tingle from all the clapping.
