The Sleeping Beauty, Royal Opera House, London

On 21st December 2016, I experienced a performance of pure professionalism at the Royal Opera House.

The Sleeping Beauty, Royal Opera House, London

I walked up to the majestic building with excitement building up inside of me. Christmas spirit was being spread through the area of Covent Garden, decorations hung throughout the city. We took our seats and the show began. I was blown away by the air of determination and perseverance around the dancers on stage as they began to dance.

The story line we all know how they choreographed it on stage was incredible. the characters came alive as you felt like you were part of the performance yourself. i loved when sleeping beauty danced with the four princes and one by one they took her hand whilst she was standing on one leg on pointe they spun her round taking at least twenty seconds each time. i loved it and felt very lucky to experience such a beautiful enchanting performance.
