Wicked the musical *Apollo Theatre* Part B Bronze Award

My experience was not one to be forgotten easily. It was full of plot twists and excitement, tension and relief. The story was simple in the wizard of oz, Dorothy was threatened by a bad witch and the good witch saves her, right? But yet, how was this bad witch so good when she was younger? This was the story explored in the play, good or evil? The story begins with Glinda looking back on her time with Elphaba, when people ask her whether she really knew her as a friend. It continues with Elphaba being born, then growing up to be an older sister and attending school. It shows her journey through school, before she becomes intertwined with the story of Dorothy and her friends.Β My favourite part was when Elphaba (the bad witch) and Glinda (the good witch) meet for the first time at Chiz, the school both are sent to. My favourite song however was the one the only, Defying Gravityceb66af683a40352f79a9107735f55702f0b40e4.jpegπŸ’šElphabaπŸ’šThis play shows the importance of respecting those around you no matter their looks, and know that good is deep inside.
