Despicable Me 4

I went to see this movie with my best friends E and D at 10 am in Cineworld Cardiff. We went to the into film festival. They give free cinema tickets to schools and home educated children. We were last to arrive and ended up on the very front row so had to look up to watch the movie. Looking up at the screen it was kind of uncomfortable and the kids behind us kicked our chairs the whole time. Apart from that we loved the film.

Despicable me 4 is a film made by illumination animation studios. It's about a family, Gru,Lucy, Margo, Edith, Agnes and baby Gru Jr. Together with the minions fight villains, in the film a super villain with a grudge against Gru managed to escape prison and the family had to go into hiding. They start a new life in Mayflower and take on new identities.  

It's a great film to watch with your family and friends, it made me laugh out loud and made me want to sing along. I always love the songs in the Despicable Me movies. It was worrying at certain points because it looked like the ending wasn't going to be a happy ending but of course Gru always manages to save the day. 

There is a part where the villain Maxime Le Mal and his girlfriend Valentina steals Gru Jr and talks about being his new Daddy. My little sister is adopted and I didn't really like that part. I think it was too mean and might scare some children. In the earlier films Gru adopted his daughters and I think that was done in a better way.

I love these characters and I enjoy seeing more of their adventures. I feel like I know them all really well and enjoy seeing them together. My favorite scene was the karate club, it was so funny. The sensei was an awful man and was horrible to Edith and Agnes. Edith destroyed the man's pinkie toe for a very good reason after he yelled at Agnes and sent her to a chair in the corner. I love her personality.

I also like the scene where Poppy dances with her cat, she's such a great character. At the beginning I didn't like her but after her and Gru robbed the school of evil I quite liked her. She was pretty despicable. I think we will see her in later movies.

Pharrel Willimas composed songs for the despicable me movies he composed despicable me and double life. Double life makes me interested to watch more and I really, really, really like the song. The despicable me song is iconic and makes me feel despicable. The other songs like Karma Chameleon is such a wonderful song, it's the reason that Maxime La Mal and Gru fell out and is such an ear worm, I could listen to the sound track all day, everyday

The film ended with all the different villains from all the different movies, Gru and Maxime had a karaoke competition singing everybody wants to rule the world and all the villains joined in. It was really funny. The last scene was Gru and his family including all the minions back in their home singing in the back garden. It's a great film. I hope another despicable me comes out!
