Over the weekend, I attended the production that was being held at, as part of the Greenwich and Docklands Festival, which is a free outdoors festival, hosting many theoretical productions between 23rd August to 8th September.
Crap at Animals is an one actor performance (played by Tom Bailey), which is currently playing between 31st August - 1st September, in which Bailey is basically trying to copy and mimic animal noises, from 50,000 species that have existed throughout our lifetime, even those that are now extinct, within our world.
At first, when I saw the production, it felt like as though I was watching a production for a CBeebies audience, especially as the performance reminded me of my childhood moments of watching Mr Tumble.
However, this quickly changed as the show then showcased the narrator tells the actor to use a VR headset, which then prompts the performer to then act out as if they were the lions/tigers themselves, whist eventually explaining on how the list, showcased at the event on how the list of animals that have been extinct, has increased even further since the first show a couple/few years ago and explaining the importance of conservation of the environment and animals, especially in today's world.
Overall, I would recommend this show for families, especially for those that are passionate about the environment but also want their children to be entertained by funny attempts at animals noises, whilst teaching them the importance of care of animals and the world we live in today.
