The Budding Writers online Bronze Arts Award programme has just been launched. By working through this programme young writers will grow in confidence as well as learning to work independently in pursuit of their personal writing ambitions.

It also aims to broaden their creative horizons and helps to explore possible future career options.

“We’re very excited to be offering this programme,” say Phil Busby, Arts Award coordinator and one of the founders of Budding Writers.  “There are thousands of talented young writers out there busy writing away in isolation. Here is an opportunity for them to become part of a writing community, get some guidance and gain a nationally recognised qualification all from the comfort of home.”

The Budding Writers Bronze Arts Award programme combines online learning with telephone tutorials and email support from a specially trained, enhanced DBS checked, Arts Award Adviser. Young writers can take part from anywhere in the UK and start at any time. Youngsters have a full year to complete the programme and it is flexible to fit round their other commitments.

Budding Writers is a non-profit organisation set up by The Writers Bureau’s Principal, Susie Busby, and her husband Phil. Their aim is to help young writers to develop confidence and ability in their craft though online training and face-to-face projects.

“The Budding Writers programme is a very well thought through and thorough Bronze and I hope that this brilliant course attracts lots of young people to explore and develop their own writing style,” commented Caroline Bray, Arts Award Associate, Arts and Culture.
