GET SEEN Short Film Competition

Now in its sixth year, Mediorite's GET SEEN short film festival is bigger than ever, with a micro-grant competition to make a short film and creative sector speakers to help diverse young film talent get ahead.

As part of its GET SEEN celebrations for 2025, Mediorite is hosting a free short film competition to see who can come up with the best short film concept around the theme of VALUE. This could be personal values, family, nature, human life... it's what VALUE means to YOU.

Mediorite will support the winner through the process of creating the film, and cover expenses.

The winner will have access to:

  • £5000 value kit hire
  • 1:1 with an industry mentor throughout the process
  • 4 days or 32 hours of professional editor’s time
  • £450 travel and food bursary for crew
  • Your final short film being shown on the big screen as part of Mediorite's GET SEEN short film festival by and for young filmmakers in London in summer 2025.

To enter, submit a concept for a short film with the theme of VALUE via the digital submission form on the entry page. The final film length should be no longer than 5 minutes.

Competition details:

  • Deadline for submissions: 11th April 2025
  • Cost of entry: FREE
  • Entrant requirements: Aged 18-27 and living in London
