g39 is seeking to appoint an Intern to support the delivery of the busy and exciting 2023 programme. You will be in the early stages of developing a career in the visual arts sector. As the g39 Intern you will gain training, experience and insight to the creative and operational processes involved in running an arts organisation. This will equip you with skills, knowledge and connections that can support your career ambitions beyond the internship.

Period of employment: 5 July - 22 December 2023
Salary: £19,838 (0.6 = £11,902) per year
Hours of work: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week, 9:30am-5:30pm, Wednesday - Saturday (when we are open to the public you will be expected to work every Saturday)
Location: g39, Cardiff

The role
You will work with Caitlin Davies (Public Programmer) and the rest of the g39 team to support the research and delivery of public events, workshops and socials, these will all aim to boost g39's community engagement. These activities will complement and extend our exhibition and residency programmes and help g39 in its mission to act as a bridge between communities, the public and artists.

As g39 Intern you will be responsible for:
Being an artistic and creative ally for artists
Being a facilitator for conversation between artists and our communities
Administrative support for the programme
Programme marketing
