Are you passionate about instilling physical and mental health in young people?
Do you believe dance has the power to build confidence?
Are you looking for extra income during the school holidays?
Freedom Foundation are recruiting dance facilitators to be part of our programme of holiday club provision across the East Midlands.
Opportunities are available for one-off days or throughout school holidays.
Freedom Foundation use singing, songwriting and dance to educate children about the importance of mental health and wellbeing. Their programmes help children to improve their self-esteem, build resilience and confidence to recognise the impact social media has on their mental health. They want to recruit individuals to our team who are passionate about using the creative arts to work with young people.
They are looking for experienced dancers to join this team to engage and inspire 5 - 16 year olds teaching streetdance and hip-hop. You will be working with children and young people who may not have any experience of dancing and teaching them how to move and dance. Full training will be given on delivery of the sessions but you will need experience in streetdance and/or hip-hop and be able to engage young people in an upbeat and fun way.
The sessions are delivered across an 8 hour day and will have a ‘lead’ (experienced) teacher and an assistant teacher.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a programme which aims to instil long-term physical activity in children from disadvantaged areas and give them and their families a great time during the holidays.
Pay: £10 per hour for Assistant Facilitators, £25 per hour for Lead Facilitators
