Creatives Call Out

Spare Tyre is looking for new creatives!

Creatives Call Out

Spare Tyre is looking for both aspiring and established professional creatives in the performing arts to collaborate with them on a three day work-in-progress to launch their Tyre Pressure programme in July 2022.

They are delighted and proud to have been commissioned by the Liberty Festival, as part of the London Borough of Culture programme in Lewisham, to produce their first Tyre Pressure laboratory. Liberty Festival is a three day festival across Lewisham, celebrating the work of D/deaf, disabled, and neurodiverse artists.

Responding to the idea of 'Freedom of Movement', they're looking for up to 3 curious and playful creative makers and doers (aka multidisciplinary or anti-disciplinary artists) to explore these ideas in a collaborative setting.

Details

Dates: Friday 22 July–Sunday 24 July
Fee: £173 per day
Location: Deptford Lounge, London, SE8 3RJ

Who they are looking for

They are looking for a range of artists who identify as marginalised or underrepresented in the arts, and have a taste for experimentation and creative activism. You may be a performer, writer, musician, movement specialist, puppeteer, visual artist, designer (please add your own if we have missed yours). They want to ensure that they centre the voices, experiences, and talents of people from groups marginalised by so-called mainstream interests. You do not need to be a loud-voiced workshop leader, but you do need to be willing to work alongside our co-creators from the community.

The deadline for applications is 10am, Wednesday 22nd June 2022.
