The Herd Theatre is looking for a new performer!

Performer

The Herd Theatre is looking for a brilliant performer with experience of working with children and families to join them for a brand new performance piece this August and September. Commissioned as part of Freedom Festival 2022, they're making an outdoor audio adventure that combines live performance with audio technology. They're looking for someone with an interest in young audiences who is confident, flexible and generous.

ABOUT THE SHOW
Mo is a takeaway delivery rider. Equipped with a bike, a big box backpack and a phone that dishes out delivery instructions, Mo spends each day cycling around the city, picking up burgers and dropping off bhunas. The work is hard and Mo is tired. Then one day Mo’s phone serves up a whole new challenge; go through a portal and deliver some food in a parallel universe. Is this the start of an incredible adventure, or a massive, multiversal mess?

Audiences in headphones will join Mo on an intergalactic adventure brought to life with cutting edge audio design, original music and dynamic storytelling. Written with the help of a group of children currently in care, this all-action audio adventure will be a delicious celebration of young imaginations and the hidden joys found in our cities.
