Macbeth Media Relations is a bespoke London-based PR agency specialising in classical music. They are looking for an Administrative Assistant with a strong interest in the arts and communications to help with the smooth running of their small, central London office and the day-to-day servicing of our clients to join on an initial 6-month contract.
Administrative duties include but not limited to:
- Keeping abreast of and organising a wide range of incoming information
- Responding quickly and efficiently to incoming queries
- Maintenance of the database, Overture, including diary entering, inputting of artist schedules, adding mailings and new contacts
- Website maintenance
- Designing and writing monthly newsletter
- Pulling and distributing press mailings
- Maintaining press subscriptions
- Day to day administrative duties to ensure smooth running of the office
Working alongside Director, Account Director and Press Officer servicing individual client accounts including but not limited to:
- Upkeep of client press kits
- Sourcing and organizing audio-visual assets
- Management of Macbeth Media and client social media accounts
- Handling ticket and image requests
- Prompting and facilitating mailings
- Helping organize interviews and press events
- Monitoring, collating and distributing press cuttings
Specification
Essential
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Passion for and knowledge of the arts including classical music and opera
- Interest in the media
- Superb organisational skills
- Enjoys implementing systems to ensure the smooth and efficient running of a process
- Ability to process large amounts of information
- Excellent eye for detail
- Considerable patience and enjoyment of finding solutions to unusual challenges
- Instinctive ability to prioritise
- Ability to work proactively and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people
- High level of computer literacy including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes and social media platforms
- Flexibility to work on evenings and weekends when required for concerts and other client events
Desirable
- Knowledge of WordPress, Photoshop, and SEO
- Experience in working with databases
- Experience in social media management
