Jodie is a 25 Y/O woman with a diva-like alter ego. She is awkward, sarcastic, frustrated, lost and emotionally wounded. We meet Jodie at multiple stages of her life. Jodie has been written to portray an authentic depiction of grief and bereavement by suicide. The chosen actor will need to be aware of these themes that we are going to tackle during the project.
BTH are about to enter an exploratory stage of our project. The chosen actor will work with the company for 2.5-3 weeks in rehearsals and perform 2 performances to university students based in Plymouth and 1 to a theatre full of general audience, charity representatives and potential funders. They will join them in delivering a workshop based on educating and raising awareness for the students. After this, they will enter the planning stages of a regional tour.
