This person will oversee the running of two Envision education days for young people who are blind or partially sighted and will plan and run a family Stageseen event involving young people who are deaf or hard of hearing.
The other major responsibility is administering Playmakers, a playwriting project for deaf children and those with Speech, Communications and Language Needs, which runs in the Summer Term. Six deaf and SCLN units will each take part in 7 in-school workshops leading to a final performance with professional actors. The administrator will also oversee new digital resources being developed for Playmakers.
Much of the groundwork for these projects is established (confirmed schools, experienced practitioners and actors, etc.), but this job requires a person with excellent administrative skills to run the individual projects and write final evaluations. A person with specific knowledge and experience of working with SEND young people is desirable, but not essential.
The fee for this freelance position is £7,500. For more information or if interested, please send a short letter and your CV by noon on Thursday, 24th March to [email protected]
