Fancy making your own Christmas presents or decorations? Bunting is a great way to achieve a unique, personalised and creative gift.
You will need:
- thread
- pins
- a sewing needle
- fabric
- letter/shape/bunting template
- scissors
- pinking shears

- binding or ribbon
Step 1:
First, you will need to create a template for your bunting to ensure all of the pieces are equal in size. To do this, cut a triangular template out of paper.
Step 2:
Next, place the template onto your chosen fabric and cut it to size. You can either pin it to the fabric or use tailor's chalk to keep it in place whilst cutting.
Step 3:
Cut your pieces of bunting out using the pinking shears, (special sissors that cut a zig-zag edge - to stop the fabric fraying).
Step 4:
Sew the to edge of the fabric to the ribbon or bindng, as shown.
Step 5:
Add embellishments such as sequins or letters to your bunting - a great way to make it personalised. Try holly or Christmas tree shapes for a festive touch.
