I've been attending Victorious Festival since I was fourteen so this year will be my 8th year at the South Coast’s most exciting weekend. I've become well acquainted with the site over the years and some of the things you really don't want to miss! Here's my essential guide to Victorious Festival 2022!

Victorious Festival has two main stages. The biggest is the Common Stage, where this year you'll find Stereophonics, Paolo Nutini and Sam Fender all performing across the weekend. Castle Stage is the second biggest stage which will also have headliners on the weekend. Your best bet is to look at the performance times – which are released online nearer the event – and making a note of who you want to see, where they are performing and at what time. To really make the most of the weekend you can also check out some of the smaller stages such as the Acoustic Stage in-between. This is a great way to discover your new favourite artists!
Go to the bar at a strategic time
As with any festival, the bar gets incredibly busy throughout the day but particularly in the evening. The best time to go is when a main act is performing on either of the main stages, as this usually shortens the queue significantly. If you're waiting for a different act or standing nearer the back, getting a drink ten minutes into a set is sometimes a good idea to ensure you're not going to miss anything you were hoping to see.
Don't miss Market Way
Southsea is famous for its independent business and incredibly talented artists. Market Way boasts a stretch of art, clothing, and even hairstyling tents to check out over the weekend. It's a great place to find unique items and support the local community at the same time.
Fancy something a bit different?
If you're in the mood for something a little less musical, the comedy tent is the place to be! This year Joel Dommet and Katherine Ryan are set to perform. The comedy tent is a great way to have a rest and a giggle whilst absorbing the lively and joyous atmosphere. It's been a great addition to the festival over the last few years and it's definitely somewhere to check out over the weekend.
Need wheelchair access or other disability adjustments?
Victorious is one of the most accessible festivals around with viewing platforms, BSL interpreters on both main stages and a mobiloo for those who require a Changing Places loo. You'll also find many ramps allowing you to get around the site safely. Victorious also offer a PA system where a carer can go free if needed so there's really no need to be worried about attending!
