About this event

Starts: Friday 24 July 2020 1:00 PM

Ends: Friday 24 July 2020 1:30 PM

As a response to the way Covid19 is affecting every aspect of life, Hack Theatre has collaborated with 6 international writers and performers to create UNMUTE, a bold, new series of accessible short films that look at how the arts can become more inclusive for all irrespective of disability, race, gender, sexuality, class or financial inequality, and how to digitise but not disenfranchise. The artists all have their own lived experience of inequality and all make issue-based work.

In each of these accessible films, Hack Theatre’s Michelle Sewell interviews an artist and gives a glimpse into diverse arts experiences. At the end of the release week for these short films, Michelle will join us live on Instagram to share what the experience has been like. We’ll chat about inclusivity in the arts, global culture and how we can approach the arts industry in the future.

Don't forget to DM us your questions or you can ask them live in the stream. Follow our Instagram to make sure you don't miss out. See you Friday!
