The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery, in partnership with the British Ceramics Biennial, are offering Secondary Schools another opportunity to take part in our popular Growing Cultures workshops for free.

Your students will get a chance to learn about the history of antibiotics and how Stoke-on-Trent played a vital role in the mass production of penicillin. In addition, there will be key links to the curriculum as we explore the different nature of bacteria and antibiotics through hands-on clay workshops, how ceramics has played a vital role in the development of hygiene, and how objects in the museum’s collection can tell us about the different approaches to health and disease prevention in the past.

Monday 11 November to Friday 15 November. The times for these workshops are from 10am until 3pm.
