Professional arts coach Sarah Preece will be teaching you all you need to know in her interactive workshop for YPIA. Whether you're planning on applying for your first job in the arts industry or looking to make the next step in your career, Sarah will give insight into the processes behind job applications and give practical advice about CVs, shadowing and work placements at any career level. She will also help you think about your personal elevator pitch - how you can impress a leader at your dream organisation in under three minutes. Finally, she'll help you to develop your confidence in the application process and to train your networking skills, which will help you keep going during your job hunt.

This is a hands-on two-hour session with lots of interactive elements that will help you apply new skills to your personal situation. The session has limited capacity, so don't hesitate and get your tickets now, before they run out.

Sarah Preece is a practitioner with a passion for supporting transformational change at an individual, team and organisation level. She has extensive experience of working within the cultural industries and is currently the Executive Director and Joint CEO of Mountview Academy, having previously worked at Battersea Arts Centre, the Royal Court Theatre and the Gate Theatre. She is also a Clore Fellow and has taught similar sessions at the selective Clore Leadership courses, so this is a unique opportunity to gain another leadership skill for the future.
