About this event

Starts: Tuesday 24 May 2022 9:00 AM

Ends: Sunday 29 May 2022 5:00 PM

At: Leicester, Leicestershire

Organised by: Bring The Paint

Bring The Paint (BTP) is the country’s largest international street art festival and this year takes place in Leicester.

“The strongest line up of any event in the country, the bar is being raised yet again by Bring The Paint” Inkie (Internationally Acclaimed Artist)

Thousands of people will make a beeline for the city to witness award-winning artists in their element. You too can join them and watch these creatives paint fresh pieces, murals, floor art and even utilise the latest augmented reality technology throughout the week.

Over forty-five works will be created before your very eyes, but this is only the start of the packed week; exhibitions, workshops, street-art tours, live broadcasts, music, food and family-orientated activities will focus on the theme of collaboration by uniting people and artists who will otherwise be unlikely to meet.

This is only the third instalment of the festival but it’s already had a tangible benefit in a number of ways. BTP improves the visual landscape of its host city and creates a free, open-air festival for all to enjoy, whilst attracting renowned artists from places like America, Mexico, Germany, Italy, France and The UK; 1UP, INKIE AND YARD WARRIORS, to name just three.

What better city to host the festival than one of the most diverse cities not just in the country but Europe? BTP has been embraced and will be sponsored by a number of groups which make the festival possible; Arts Council England, BID Leicester, Leicester City Council, DMu and Gresham Apartments.

“Leicester hosted the first BTP in 2017, and the amazing results can still be seen in the city centre today” Sir Peter Soulsby (Leicester City Mayor)
