Lillyan Andreev Ganchev

What does it mean to you to be included in the Trinity Hall of Fame?

I consider this to be an achievement for me, as I would like to be a musician or music artist in the future. It is something to make me feel proud of myself and my work so far. Recognising and celebrating work is exciting and significant, and it goes to show that grit, determination are what everyone needs to be successful.

Could you explain a little about what first drew you to the arts?

My interest in the arts started in my primary school years. I enjoyed music, sang in the school choir, started playing the trombone, and joined a wind-band ensemble. I performed twice at the Royal Albert Hall as a part of the Haringey Music Festival in 2022 and 2025. Music as a form of creative art continues to influence me. At the moment, I also learn the piano, and in my free time I do song writing and production.

How has Trinity helped you to achieve your goals in the arts?

The Trinity qualifications give me a boost of self esteem to research and approach any art tasks with confidence, to grow my imagination and creativity, and develop a range of transferable skills. The different levels provide excellent basis for new knowledge and abilities to become adept at one type of art or another. I feel motivated to work hard and excel in what I do.

How has Voice Magazine helped with the work you've been doing?

Voice is an excellent addition to every young artist. Dedicated to young people, it fosters a sense of community in the field of arts. It is a great starting place when researching Arts Award topics and portfolios. The option to build a portfolio on the platform, to showcase various pieces of work is fantastic. Voice inspires me to pursue my goals in different art forms.

What are your hopes for your future in the arts? Do you want to make it into a career?

Yes, I would really like to make a career in the art of music performance. It is a great place to be yourself, burst with creativity, present to the world from your angle. Whether performing a song on stage, or playing an instrument, it would be an enriching and fulfilling experience. I am excited for the future.

Do you have any advice for other young people who want to pursue the arts?

Of course. If you feel you are getting pressured to pursue arts, you are already strong enough to hold on and explore the arts from your perspective.
