National Theatre live screenings
Get a bit of culture in ya! There have been several screened live recordings of the amazing theatre that the National has shown on our TVs during lockdown! I loved watching One Man, Two Guv’nors, and Benedict Cumberbatch’s Frankenstein as well!
Live sessions
YouTube channels and radio shows such as KEXP, Colours, Tiny Desk will always have more live music content for you to sink your teeth into! It’s a great way to discover new music and will do a little bit to help with the no-gig blues we are all suffering from right now!
Studio Ghibli
The ultimate antidote to modern day anxiety, I have been turning to films like Spirited Away to soothe my soul. They are cute, insanely pretty and wonderfully fantastical stories which (usually) have a happy ending. Would recommend Spirited Away, Kiki’s Delivery Service and My Neighbour Totoro for the most soothing vibes.
One World At Home Together
Isn’t Lady Gaga just the best?! I can’t believe she organised such an amazing fundraiser and I’m so happy she got so many donations! It’s really fun to watch all the performances as well, with some of the biggest names in music history to date performing covers of some of the greatest songs ever written! What’s not to love?
Documentaries
Keep those brains active guys! There are so many interesting music documentaries online, even just on YouTube that you can watch to learn more about music history or your favourite artists. Try watching the Woodstock documentary (although it’s very long) or just search your favourite artists from history and see what you can find!
Let me know what you decide to watch in the comments below!
Stay home, stay safe,

I just came across this article and I am exactly the same! These are such great suggestions and they remind me that I can keep watching new and exciting performances and documentaries without too much effort! It can sometimes be quite stressful to plan and book these things, especially after the surge of anxiety that Covid has brought on! Loved this.
