I went to see Dirty Dancing at the Bristol Hippodrome on Friday 5th July 2019. I really enjoyed all the dancing, singing and acting. I’d watched the film before but thought on stage it was a lot better and more exciting. I thought it was really clever the way the singers at the front of the stage distracted from the scene change so it was all fluid. The only thing I’d change was the water seen because I thought it was just too cheesy, but some people might like that. I’d definitely recommend it because it was really funny and entertaining, whilst also giving a positive message that doesn’t matter where you come from it just matters were you want to go. From watching Dirty Dancing I’ve learnt that on the stage it needs to be a lot more exaggerated because audience at the back won’t notice if it’s just a little glance.

Love this! What in particular made the stage version better than the film version? :)
