Sasha Siem Returns with 'Eve Eyed'

When Sasha Siem sat down to write ‘Eve Eyed’ she had only one aim; to help women and girls shed their internalised and inherited shame surrounding their bodies and their minds. She explains that, at least in the Judeo-Christian tradition, women have been blamed for centuries for the ‘fall’ of man and that women have unconsciously adopted the shame that has been accredited to them for so long.

Sasha Siem Returns with 'Eve Eyed'

The song’s very musicality helps to spread this message of liberation and freedom. The weighty and pulsing bass moves the song along and gives the song an incredibly strong foundation. The track also gives Sasha Siem the chance to illustrate the true depth and intensity of her vocals. Her voice athletically moves throughout the song with a poetic ease, and she manages to capture the thoughtful sentiments of the track perfectly with her delicately sensitive tone.

‘Eve Eyed’ gives Siem the opportunity to showcase her incredible vocal ability to a world that perhaps knows her best for her composition and piano / cello talents. Siem has written music for the London Symphony Orchestra, The Royal Opera House, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and in 2010 she became one of the youngest people to win a British Composer Award. Siem is now looking to expand on her critical success with the release of ‘Eve Eyed’.
