Conclusion to Section A

Reflection

The first unit has taught me a lot about what concept art should consist of, and the media best to dot. Digitally creating concepts is definitely the best way, as it allows subtle changes to be made to the concepts until the ideal design is reached. Concept art targets realism over graphics, and this meant I could develop my art skills in a more realistic way. Obviously, not all concepts will be realistic; it will depend on the purpose of what the concept is for. Sometimes the designs will be for children, and will therefore be less realistic than something for a mature. I have definitely learnt more about technique when using digital media, more in photoshop than illustrator but I'm sure the same rules apply, if not slightly altered.

I am 17 years old and hope to pursue Video Game Design as a career path. I hope to attend university later this year, and use my place in the game design community to inspire others as much as previous games have inspired me.
