British Actor Amber Doig-Thorne stars in Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey

Director, Rhys Frake-Waterfield elected to adapt the story into a terrifying tale; with a micro-budget of fewer than $100,000, the horrifying film has already gone on to earn over $4 million at the US box office and is now available in the UK on DVD, blu-ray & digital.

In one of the leading roles, Amber Doig-Thorne plays Alice, who is terrorized and kidnapped by Pooh and Piglet, with terrifying consequences.

Amber’s talent has landed her leading roles in over 100 productions, including 23 British feature films (The Seven, Demons at Dawn, Heropanti 2, Vikings: Battle of Heirs) and numerous award-winning short films, and comedy productions.

On filming one of the most talked about films of the year, Amber says: “There have been reactions from excitement to outrage, but I think it’s an amazing and unique concept; as soon as I read the script, I knew I wanted to be involved. I don’t see it as ruining people’s childhoods; I think it’s a wonderful opportunity to redefine these characters for adults to enjoy in a horror setting. It was one of my favourite filming experiences, with a wonderful crew, beautiful locations and a sense that we were filming something special”.

Amber is currently starring in Laugh Lessons on BBC Three, where she was commissioned by BBC as a comedy performer and writer. In addition, Amber writes and produces original comedy shorts, which have received over 100 million views online. This has helped her amass over 3 million combined followers across her social media channels.

Amber's next film, The Baby In The Basket is due to go into production soon.

Based between London and Los Angeles. Amber acquired her acting training at the renowned Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) and the Beverly Hills Playhouse.
