CRSO "Orchestral Fireworks" Concert, Saturday 12 May 2018, 1930, The Central Theatre, Chatham
The CRSO's last programme of the season encompasses the twin themes of love and vibrant orchestral colours. The concert includes - by popular request - CRSO Associate Composer Jacob Bride's 2017 revision of the engaging Folk Rhapsody No.2 which the CRSO premiered in 2015, and a favourite work of CRSO members; Ravel's Boléro. What a brilliant way to end the orchestra's 2017-18 season!
This concert is part of the CRSO's Arts Award Supporter offer for activities at the Discover, Explore, Bronze and Silver award levels.

4 November 2017
CRSO "American Extravaganza" Concert, Saturday 4 November 2017, 1930, The Central Theatre, Chatham
Join the CRSO for an exciting programme of American classics, ranging from Copland's famous Fanfare to the Common Man to John Williams's exhilarating score for Steven Spielberg's 1982 film "E.T. The Extra Terrestrial". John Adams's brilliant Short Ride in a Fast Machine is part of the BBC's "Ten Pieces" project, and is paired with Adams's highly entertaining Lollapalooza. We could not, of course, present an American programme without some wonderful works by Gershwin; the ever-popular Rhapsody in Blue and colourful An American in Paris complete a thrilling programme.
This concert is part of the CRSO's Arts Award Supporter offer for activities at the Discover, Explore, Bronze and Silver award levels.
