Christmas Truffles

A go-to recipe for my Christmas feast

Christmas Truffles

When you have hundreds of people eating LOTS of food at Christmas, there are always “go-to” recipes that we all love. This is my ultimate treat recipe.

Ingredients

20 digestive biscuits

125g butter

200g condensed milk

2 tbsp cocoa                                            chocolate flavour strands, desiccated coconut or icing sugar for decoration

  1. To start this yummy treat you first need to place a pan on low heat, add the butter and condensed milk and mix gently until the butter melts.

  2. Place this mixture aside to cool slightly and crush all of the digestive biscuits into crumbs. I personally find this is best achieved by placing the biscuits into a plastic bag and breaking them with a rolling pin.

  3. Place the crushed biscuits, cocoa powder and coconut into a mixing bowl and combine.

  4. Pour the condensed milk and butter mixture into the mixing bowl and combine until sticky

  5. Form the final mix into truffles of your chosen size (dipping your hands into clean water between each truffle will stop the mixture from sticking to your hands).

  6. Set up your decorations and roll each truffle in your chosen topping until completely covered and then set aside on a plate.

  7. Chill your truffles until they are ready to be served

  8. Enjoy!

I hope you enjoy these as much as I do and please share some of your favourite recipes for all of us here at Voice to try out this year :)
