Revisit the classics

The Brontës

Don't let Shakespeare overshadow the most successful sisters in British literature! If you are new to the Brontës start with Wuthering Heights or Jane Eyre. And if Victorian novels aren't your cup of tea why not try some reworkings like Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys or Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier?

Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll

Make sure you read the sequel before Alice, the Mad Hatter and Red Queen return to your screens in May! If you are a super Alice fan you can't miss the British Library exhibition on the creation of this popular work and how it has been developed and adapted throughout the years. The exhibition is free and runs until April.
