We travelled to Latitude festival mid month, to report on the multitude of wonderful shows they have on offer, and to run a very successful Discover Club in the Kids and Inbetweeners areas. Our quick fire top hits from Latitude have to be:
- A secret gig by Ed Sheeran, that we just happened to be at the right stage for! We were caught by surprise (much to the dismay of a few team members who aren't such fans of Mr. Sheeran) just as he was about to go on stage. Enjoyment and good reviews ensued.
- Watching The Last Leg in the Comedy Arena, discussing disability with the same witty but eye opening way that they are known for. "Often there seems to be a taboo about discussing disability on stage or in performance and I felt this show overcame that."
- Finally getting into the packed Wellcome Hub to watch abrilliant talk about the link between science and art, courtesy of Arthur l. Miller and Dr Marius Kwint.
- Experiencing Leanne Le Havas' 'flawless' performance on the Obelisk Arena stage.
- Ava Dance Company's perfectly timed, experimental dance number on the Waterfront Stage as the sun started to set, a true reminder of why this is the best arts festival in the UK.
