Join the Voice Magazine team as we host a hands-on workshop as part of MozFest House. We'll survey key changes to the media landscape in the digital age, and help sharpen your skills to write effectively and make your voice heard.

We will explore how fact and fiction are becoming increasingly hard to discern as #fakenews wrestles to control the agenda. Learn to distinguish between the two and how to avoid contributing to the cycle.

The internet is breaking down the barrier to entry for would-be writers, with many free tools and platforms available for the modern day blogger or citizen journalist. Our workshop will review such include a training session on writing opinions and reviews so that you are best equipped to become an effective commentator.

We'll also be joined by Rants N Bants, a vlogger with millions of views and political correspondent for VICE. The 29 year old is well known for upfront social and political commentary.

He'll share his personal journey from footballer to personal trainer and popular online personality, sharing frankly and engaging young people in politics. They'll be a chance to ask your questions too.

If you are keen to take your opinion writing to the next level, or have strong opinions in need of an outlet, this is the session for you!

All participants will be invited to join the network of Voice Contributors, and regularly share their opinions, reviews and creative work on the youth-led digital platform.

The workshop is free to attend, but places are limited.
