During this October half term, DanceEast will be holding a dance workshop – strictly for boys. No previous dance experience is necessary, but enthusiasm is a must! Whether you dance in schools, at parties, in parks or in your bedroom – this day is only for young men aged 10 –15 years. Led by the Centre for Advanced Training teaching team, no previous dance experience is needed – just come along and explore! Talent spotters will be present throughout the day and will be identifying those with exceptional potential.
The high energy workshop will give male students across the East of England and beyond the opportunity to combine energetic contemporary workshops with capoeira (Brazilian martial arts based dance) and creative choreography sessions. They will work with world-class industry professional and some of UK's best tutors.
Elsa Urmston, DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training Manager says "Dare To Dance is a unique way for young men to discover and develop new talents by dancing alongside and taking inspiration from male peers and leading dance teachers."
Dancing allows you to be imaginative, to be creative, to improve strength, flexibility and posture, to have fun and learn and to express your feelings. These were just some of the inspiring responses we received from our boy only performance group, many of whom first discovered a passion for dance through one of our workshops.
So if you want to try something new and become part of creating an alternative voice in youth dance, join our workshop this October half term!
