We are honoured to welcome Alex Jarrett to share her experience of the acting world along with valuable insights to help guide the progress of our students and others towards success in the business on Friday 30th October 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm online.  Alex will give a presentation about her career and then we will have questions and a discussion.  

The event will be hosted by Louise Williams and Nesmie Constantine, our two final year students on UEL’s BA (Hons) Drama, Applied Theatre and Performance, within our Music, Creative Writing and Performance Dept. Louise and Nesmie are UEL Equity Champions,  a student role which makes a valued contribution to promoting racial equity in the classroom.

About Alex Jarrett

Alex is a mixed-race actress (Jamaican/White British) based in East London. She was a child model until the age of 6 and been acting professionally since the age of 13, starting by attending Stratford East’s Youth Theatre. Alex was also voted Young Mayor of Newham in 2015 and enjoyed highlighting issues faced by young people in the borough.

Alex's recent acting credits include Adult Material (Channel 4) and Les Miserables (BBC). She has also radio, stage and short films included in her vast experience.
