Archie Maddocks is an award-winning stand-up comedian and writer, with two specials on Comedy Website Next-Up Comedy. He regularly takes shows up to the Edinburgh Fringe, and he currently has projects in development with BBC, BBC Comedy, Channel 4 and CBS.

Join us for a live interview and performance from Archie on Instagram about how he got into comedy, his writing career and how he's weathering the Covid-19 storm as a performer. 

Then head over to Zoom for a half-hour skills share where Archie will be talking you through his comedy style and giving you some top tips.

The workshop - How to generate comedy material 

Archie will be taking you through how to generate writing and comedy material through games. You'll be asked to tell a story in a variety of ways, and work on a lie and truth to observe how this generates usable material for performances.
